Boat excursion from Palermo to Capo Zafferano. Swim in the turquoise waters of Baia dei Francesi and Arco Azzurro, watch the fish around Scoglio Formica and enjoy an aperitif on board.
Make your holiday in Palermo unforgettable with our dinghy tour to Capo Zafferano
Join us for an unforgettable adventure along the beautiful Sicilian coast! Our tour departs from the historic Tonnara dei Florio, near Arenella beach, and heads south, offering breathtaking views of the Gulf of Palermo. This area is teeming with marine life: if we are lucky, we may even spot some dolphins!
We will set sail from the Florio Tonnara, crossing the Gulf of Palermo to reach the Bay of the French, a secluded rocky beach nestled beneath a cliff, accessible only by sea or via a hidden path. We will stop here for about an hour, giving you the chance to swim in the deep turquoise waters of the bay. Once everyone is back on board, we will continue our journey around the promontory to reach the Blue Arch, a breathtaking natural arch connecting two rocky cliffs 11 metres above the sea.
From this point onwards, the coastline becomes more rugged, dotted with small coves, including the famous Three Swimming Pools. We will continue to sail towards Capo Zafferano, also known as Napoleon's hat thanks to its distinctive shape, reminiscent of the bicorne hat worn by Napoleon.
Once we reach Capo Zafferano, you will have another chance to dive into the crystal clear waters while we prepare a delicious aperitif to enjoy on board. After about an hour, we will sail towards the Capo Zafferano Lighthouse, set at the base of an imposing rocky cliff. Our last stop will be the Ant Rock, where you can watch the fish around this fascinating rock formation emerging from the sea.
After about six hours exploring this extraordinary coastline, we will return to Palermo, bringing back unforgettable memories of this incredible adventure.
Note: The Scoglio della Formica is located in the open sea, further away from the coast. If sea conditions are unfavourable, this stop may be skipped for safety reasons.
